For students with a basic understanding of chess rules and gameplay. Players study common endgames, simple checkmates and develop an understanding of basic strategic concepts. In addition, they learn tournament rules and etiquette, preparing them for competitive play.
Orange Belt
For older or more serious players who may already participate in US Chess tournaments and are dedicated to improving their skills and learning from their games. This level emphasizes sportsmanship, strategy, and respect for opponents.
Green Belt
For our most committed players, this level involves in-depth study of chess strategy and theory, often using chess texts. Less gameplay and more focus on mastering the principles and concepts at a professional level.
